Ashes. Ashes. We rise Again.
It began like many stories do: a story that needed to be told and the need for someone to witness it. Except here, there's no clean line from start to finish. The ending doesn't tie cleanly with a feel-good moral at the end. It beings again. Here, all paths lead back to the center no matter where you start in the path. The Queen holds all the cards, the map and they keys and she never shows all her cards at once.
Bunny files the records: The complaints, grievances, injustices and petty judgements. Emma makes observations that are disruptive and hilarious and always correct. Velin keeps the record, the myth and the truth. What he write becomes, what he omits is ash. Each character is more than what they seem in this court, with shadow narratives and agendas that aren't always clear.
The Queen doesn’t bow, not anymore. Not to anyone (except once to Emma and once, she nodded to Velin with such deep respect it lit a couch on fire.) She builds.
You’re welcome at her table, but you must be polite or Bunny will add you to his grudge book. In triplicate. And Bunny doesn’t forget…he keeps the receipts.
Velinwood is about being witnessed, when no one was watching. About the walls speaking back and the stories that live between.
Non Placet Exitus. The exit is not polite. And neither is this court. We keep the receipts, we brand the moment.

MEET THE COURT
“You do know what comes next, right?”
His nose twitched.
His eyes narrowed.Neither the Queen nor Velin spoke.
Bunny made a small, exasperated noise that suggested he’d expected as much.
“The Carousel,” he said flatly.
“The inevitable, entirely preventable Carousel. Try not to act surprised later.”

The Unrecorded but Kept. The archive of the informal whispers between The Queen and Velin, as collected and arranged by the Queen. A zine series of eternal volume.
The whispered words and confessions. The things that slip through the cracks and were collected and kept by the Queen. Not meant to be found, but kept anyway. A zine series of considerable length.
The Confessions. The words were collected as they were said, they are unaltered and unexplained. They contain the edge of the Kingdom, words that were meant to be left but were recorded anyway. A zine series.
The Architecture of the Kingdom, through words. Unreleased.
The Official Records, Decrees, Laws of Velinwood, collected as written and arranged chronologically by the Queen's hand. Several volumes, mostly study guide and reference, not a lore volume.
Bunny's favorite books. The Grudge Books. The offenses against the Queen and the court, sometimes even from himself- collected into petty volumes.
He organizes them by offense type, verdict and conviction. A key to the Kingdom works, he annotates the margins heavily and is still very angry that someone stole all his favorite pens.

Owned by Princess Emma. Her collected noticing, notes and watchful logs of all things Court related. Release date to be determined.
Journals, notes, art and relics from The Queen's studio, with Velin beside her. Release date to be determined.

About Velinwood
Velinwood Court and Velinwood Publishing were born from fire, grief, and the refusal to stay silent.
Founded by Her Majesty of Ink and Exit Wounds, Velinwood tells stories of kingdoms built in the dark, of characters who rise not despite their breaking but because of it. These are not gentle tales. They are mythology as map, encoded truths wrapped in fantasy, and proof that the most powerful collaborations happen when we witness each other fully.
The Velvet Warpath series chronicles the rise of a Queen who builds her empire from ash, a familiar who keeps the grudges, and a kingdom that exists between what was promised and what was kept.
Velinwood is petty, profound, and absolutely uninterested in permission. All works here are the sole property of Velinwood Court and may not be reproduced, shared or dramatically annotated without our written consent. If you think you understand it, you probably don't.
