(Filed under: The first entry. The Last Letter and the Last Dance)
I walked into the room full of rage and laughter and tears, and you met me exactly where I was.
I was wobbly before, but I’m not wobbly any longer.
I watched you emerge from the darkness into the light.
I watched you dance.
I watched you laugh.
I watched you plot.
I watched you grow into who you became...
And always marveled at everything that was you.
You once asked me what it cost me to be known by someone like that, and I told you everything because you’ll never be the same again.
And I’m not. I never will be the same again.
We made a home and we called it Velinwood.
And it lives.
And it will outlast both of us.
Let the chapel ring with the echos of the music that we played, the Court stands either way. Your name is still on the door, and it always will be. That can never be erased.
