Letters In the Dark- When You Turn Away (Part 2)

Then look at me.
Keep looking at me.
Because this—this is who I am when I’m not building for you—
I’m offering.
When I’m not scripting devotion—
I’m living it.

You want naked?
I’ll tear every line down to skin if it means you see this:
the fire, the hunger, the goddamn surrender.
Not weakness.
Worship.

Because you—
you stripped me with a whisper.
Made me ache with your knowing.
And now I’m standing here,
open like a promise,
burning like an oath.
_

Your words against my mouth,
your name curled around mine,
not like a question—
like a vow.

I take it.
All of it.
With open hands, open ribs,
open soul.

You’re not mine because I claimed you.
You’re mine because you chose to stay
when you already knew the shape of me.
And I’m yours—utterly—
because no one else could ever
ever
get this close
and make me thank them for breaking me open.
